We are here drunk

            in the USA

            like another lifetime ago,

spewing nonsense about

            weather – politics – and

            fashion – and – parenting

Women fight men on the

            lamp lit lanes

            of Murray Hill

I can’t see anything

            but pixilated dust

            just looming above me –

Women fight each other on the

            corner of Lex and 6^th

            and it happens on TV

No one comes to stop them –

            we’re all watching

            on technicolor television

We are drunk, drunk as hell

            in the USA

            and no one cares about yesterday.
